Happy Friday!
Below are the Band Notes for the week ending 11/18: All bands *Special thanks to all those who made the trek to see me in Lakeridge High School’s production of Once Upon A Mattress. When it was all said and done, we had about 30 kids who showed up, which blew me away! Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you all enjoyed the show. *Mrs. Amundson’s daughter, Alyssa, is a senior at the high school. For her senior project, she is helping middle school students with free clarinet lessons. Students would come into Mrs. Amundson’s class here at Skyridge after school and have their lessons there. If you’re interested, please let me know. This is a great opportunity for students who are looking for a little extra help with their clarinet playing! *Next week is a super short week! For those who will be gone, we will miss you. For those who are here, let’s make sure to have a great rehearsal so that we can get right back to playing when we get back from Thanksgiving Break. *The transposition worksheets that we worked on today can be downloaded in the Skyward message center: it is attached to this message. 6th Grade Band *Please remember to complete your transposition worksheet for next band class. This is homework! *Remember to learn all three lines of Jingle Bells in the band book. This is homework! *Excellent job with having pencils this week. Keep it up. *Pokemon Band playing tests can be done before school or after school. Make sure and catch ‘em all! Jazz Band *Hometown Holidays has reached out to the Jazz Band to play for this festive event. We’ll be splitting the time with Liberty’s Jazz Band. The event is Friday Dec. 2nd. Our shared time slot is 7:45 p.m. to 8:35 p.m. We will need a few parent volunteers to help with loading/unloading equipment. I’ll be sending out permission slips next week, so be on the lookout for those. ************************************ Thanks for another great week. I’ll be away from E-Mail for the weekend, but I’ll be back at it on Monday morning. Enjoy your weekend! Comments are closed.
